孩童在玩弄晴朗晨曦的光影，
像是在为我这老人的归途做安排。
江水收敛了闲散的水势，逐渐退去，
山峦仿佛戴着片片断裂的云彩在飞动。
暮色照亮了官道，
清寒之气搅动着客子的衣衫。
一路行走，直到嵩山的曲折之处，
或许还能赶上那落日的余晖。

My son plays with the sunlit dawn's clear rays,
Arranging my return in twilight days.
The river gathers its idle waters, withdrawn,
The mountain wears broken clouds, at dusk they're borne.
Evening hues brighten the official road,
A pure chill stirs the traveler's weary load.
On and on I walk until the mountain's bend,
There still may catch the last slanting light to attend.
