上林苑的美好春光与京城相隔，
十分的春色光景都托付给了流转啼鸣的黄莺。
雨后的芳草茂盛得仿佛要铺满大地，
风停时，飘落的花瓣仿佛带有声响。
柳树旁的台榭云雾深浓，栖息着鹳鹊，
榉树旁的池塘沙岸温暖，沐浴着䴔䴖。
近年来皇帝的车驾很少来此游历，
七十二座亭台空自映照着皎洁的月光。

The royal garden's springtime splendor lies far from the phoenix city wall,
The full spring's affairs are entrusted to the orioles' flowing call.
After rain, the fragrant grass seems to have no ground left to spare,
When wind stills, the falling blossoms seem to have a voice in the air.
In the willow pavilion, deep clouds shelter the storks and magpies,
By the zelkova pond, warm sands bathe the water hens in their guise.
In recent years, the imperial carriage seldom comes to roam,
Seventy-two pavilions stand empty under the bright moon's dome.
