篆书和隶书,秦代并非古意之源;
楷书和行书,从晋代流传至今。
奇特的踪迹存留在笔墨之中,
精妙的意趣本自胸襟所生。
雄健如狮子翻动巨石,
腾跃似飞鸟冲出山林。
古人追求笔法的端正,
八种法则如声音般相互应和。
The art of calligraphy springs from within,
Hard to be captured by the brush alone.
To know where spirit and form truly begin,
One must realize painting flows from the heart's own tone.
Seal and clerical scripts, Qin's style was not old;
Regular and running scripts, from Jin to now unfold.
Strange traces survive in ink and brush's trace,
Subtle meaning originates from mind's embrace.
Vigorous as a lion overturning stone,
Soaring like a bird from woods newly flown.
The ancients sought the brush's upright way,
Eight methods echo sound, as if they'd say.
