梅花绽放，南方的天际变得明亮。
病愈之后，我依然喜爱饮酒；
身死之后，更须留下名声。
鹳鸟与白鹤忽然双双飞起，
我的诗篇也即将完成。

The railing stretches through the year's last days,
I lean and pace, watching the light and shade.
Leaves fall, Lake Tai seems nearer to my gaze;
Plums bloom, the southern sky begins to fade.
Though ill, I still have a fondness for the wine;
After I'm gone, I'll need a name to last.
Suddenly a pair of storks and cranes take flight—
My poem is nearly finished, and fast.
