Hastily, we follow seasonal rite,
Lonely, by the water gate, in twilight.
Dense shade, flowers brighten the open field;
Cold Food Day, willows encircle the village sealed.
A stranger's sleeves, empty on this fine day;
Orioles' songs recall homeland far away.
I know not where the flute's note does arise,
Blowing regrets to fill my cup, clear to the eyes.
