三千里外是帝王的故乡，
当年潜龙就居住在泾水旁。
并非为了将玉玺符命掌握在手，
所以借这雕饰的楼阁来谈论风光。
一时的往事已逝，只留下遗迹，
百尺高楼空荡荡地倚靠着夕阳。
其英武神采与灵韵大致相似，
原本就没有野史记载大唐的兴亡。

Three thousand li away lies the emperor's native land,
Where once the dragon lurked beside the Jing River's strand.
Not for the seal of power did he scheme and strive,
Hence we speak of the scene where axe and adze survive.
Events of that time passed, leaving traces behind,
The hundred-foot tower stands empty against sunset's glow.
His martial spirit and aura somewhat come to mind,
Yet no folk history records the Tang's rise, you know.
