Across the water, a lamp shines deep and bright.
Through the threshing ground, birds and sparrows wind;
Into hidden ditches, dark streams take their flight.
Years make me old, needing support to walk;
The boat urges the monk to cross in haste.
I fear this journey is not yet the end;
I write these lines to continue the past.
