我怎能不思念儿女？
你的母亲已年老，妹妹也到了出嫁的年纪。
孩子们各自跟随母亲而去，
这情景可喜，却也令人伤悲。
关山河流，路途万里，
你这一去，何时才能归来？
三年时光难以言说，
就以白头到老作为我们的期许。
百亩田地不算多，
但足以让数口之家免于饥馑。
我强忍哭泣不敢尽情宣泄，
心中的幽怨又该向谁倾诉？

As sparrows and swallows each follow their pair.
Since you and I were joined as man and wife,

The road through passes and streams stretches miles;

A hundred acres would not be too much;
