年末时节风霜凄惨，
天气寒冷草木枯萎。
壮年时光如今已逝去，
心中慷慨充满不尽悲凉。

Who once personally served me wine with grace.
His talent, alas, lay unused and constrained,
His illness, in the end, defied all embrace.
Year's end, the wind and frost turn bleak and grim,
In cold of heaven, grass and trees grow sere.
His prime of life has now been cut from him,
Leaving behind a sorrow deep and sheer.
