我闭门谢客，远离世俗的纷扰；
天性偏爱幽静，乐于在深僻的居所中自得。
弹完琴后，便再无其他事情；
白昼漫长，正适宜读书。
粉刷的墙壁上，苔藓的颜色显得古朴；
柳木书案旁，竹影稀疏地映照。
我渐渐欢喜相知的朋友稀少；
门前没有闲杂宾客的车马喧嚣。

I shut my door, away from worldly affairs;
Content with solitude, my nature finds peace in deep retreat.
After playing the zither, there's nothing left to do;
The long days are best suited for reading books.
The moss on the whitewashed wall bears an ancient hue;
Sparse bamboo shadows fall upon the willow-wood desk.
Gradually I rejoice that my close friends are few;
No idle carriages clutter the gate before my house.
