长年中的佳节临近重阳，
深入骨髓的恩情独有一种清凉。
凤尾竹的嫩心足以悦目，
鸡头米（芡实）的果实可以充饥果腹。
高耸入云，穿越月光，丹桂盛开，
映照日光，排列空中，数不尽的木芙蓉傲对寒霜。
不要与春光比较谁先谁后，
请您在晚节之时，玩赏这秋天的芬芳。

The long year's fine festival nears the Double Ninth Day,
A deep, bone-piercing favor carries a taste of coolness alone.
The phoenix-tail fern's heart can please the eye,
The foxnut's grain within the pod can fill the belly as one's own.
Piercing the clouds and moon, the scarlet osmanthus blooms,
Against the sun, arrayed in sky, countless hibiscus defy the frost's gloom.
Do not compete with spring's light for who comes first or late,
I pray you, sir, in your later years, savor autumn's fragrant state.
