诗坛老友理应先来品尝。
风尘仆仆的骑手顶着星夜赶来，
竹篮却奈何被雨水所妨碍。
空留下（赞美荔枝的）绝妙诗句，
却没能送达那绛红色的香囊。
这个愿望何时能再续？
和煦的南风终究让我得偿所愿。

The delicacies from the storied kitchen are here,
Our venerable poet should be the first to taste.
The dusty rider, wearing stars as a crown,
Carries a bamboo basket, hindered by the rain.
Only the brilliant verse is left behind,
Unable to send the fragrant crimson pouch.
When will this wish be fulfilled again?
The warm southern wind finally grants a repayment.
