我闻淡山之岩深且幽，崆嵌邃窦堪寻搜。
禅龛剥落气尚古，龙象□徙初谁谋。
神仙窟□信有□，功出天造非人侔。
谽谺磥砢骇未见，石壁字隠苔侵锼。
山灵畴昔莫□秘，巨蟒岂得于中留。
吟来珠玑重满把，我幸蜡屐欣从游。

我听说淡山岩深邃而幽静，
它那空阔嵌深的洞穴值得探寻。
佛龛虽已剥落，气韵仍存古朴，
那龙象般的形貌最初是谁谋划？
这确实是神仙居住的洞府，
乃自然造化之功，非人力可比。
那幽深参差的景象令人惊异未见，
石壁上的字迹隐没，苔藓侵蚀着雕刻。
山灵昔日为何将其隐藏？
巨蟒岂能在此中存留？
吟咏所得如珠玉再次满握，
我庆幸穿着木屐，欣然随游。

I've heard of Danshan Crag, deep and secluded,
Its hollows and caverns invite exploration.
The weathered shrine breathes an air of antiquity,
Who first conceived its dragon-elephant forms?
A true abode of immortals, it is said,
A work of Heaven, beyond human craft.
Its jagged, gaping maws startle the eye,
Stone inscriptions hide, moss encroaching on carvings.
Why did the mountain spirit once conceal it?
Could a giant serpent have dwelled within?
My verses now brim with pearls anew,
I rejoice, in clogs, to join this journey.
