一年中的机巧事务已经停息，
人世间的事故与妄念都已成空。
一笑之间，如同播扬糠秕迷了眼睛，
多生累世，却能听闻蚂蚁的聪慧。
我的本性里，痴愚与狡黠各占一半，
在酒意之外，醉与醒其实相同。
上天的运数本就是如此，
姑且效法那五柳先生吧。

The busy affairs of the year have ceased,
The vain thoughts of worldly matters are empty.
A smile scatters chaff that blinds the eye,
Through many lives, one hears the wisdom of ants.
In my nature, folly and cunning are half and half,
Beyond wine, drunkenness and sobriety are the same.
The course of Heaven is truly thus,
Let me learn from the Master of Five Willows.
