He stretched his foot into the land of the Hu, and opened his mouth to taste the sky of Han.
He saw the sky but saw no snow, much less could he tell snow from felt.
The Hu men dared not kill him, saying he was an immortal who could not die.
The Han court sought the elixir of immortality, with alchemists mixing dew and jade dust.
How could that compare to this old minister, with felt and snow clenched between his teeth?
