上天造就了这样的山岳，究竟是为了什幺呢？
我遥想得知，那天宫的大门正向南方敞开。
两川地区的文武人才，顺着长江而下；
百越之地的车轨与文书，翻越五岭而来。
祭祀山川的柴望之礼，久已成为周朝衰落的典制；
满怀忧愁的才士，多见是楚国遗留的英才。
不知那嵩山与泰山，比起这里来又当如何？
我想要托付书信，让北归的大雁捎回。

Heaven-made mountains, for what purpose do they stand?
Far off, I know the southern gate of heaven lies open.
Civil and martial talents from the two rivers flow down the Long River;
Chariots and scripts from the Hundred Yue come over the Five Ridges.
The ancient rites of Zhou for mountain and hill sacrifices have long fallen into disuse;
Much sorrow and talent, left over from Chu, are often seen.
I wonder how the sacred peaks Song and Tai compare to this;
I wish to send a letter back by the wild geese.
