他看重交情，哪里会过问田产还在不在；
他急公好义本是天性，远非为官者所能知晓。
他仕途显达，所幸兄弟众多且关系和睦美好；
他隐居幽静，正适合与竹林七贤那样的高士相期。
我床头放着《周易》，自知即将老去；
案头摆着《楞严经》，晚年才得遇佛法为师。
这番心意想必是上天在他身后所赋予；
就像峄山南坡未经雕琢的良木，他的长孙延续着家族的枝脉。

He valued friendship more than fields, and never asked where his lands lay;
His zeal for justice was innate, far beyond what officials know.
A splendid post, yet fortune blessed him with brothers in full array;
A tranquil retreat well suited to the Bamboo Grove's gentle flow.
By my pillow, the Book of Changes tells me I am growing old;
Upon my desk, the Śūraṅgama Sūtra, a teacher found late in life.
This intent surely was bestowed by Heaven after he was gone;
Like unhewn wood from Yi Mountain, his eldest branch prolongs the strife.
