秋天的日子已经过去了一半，
树林中没有一片叶子在飞舞。
清晨的山雾让我必须关上门户；
夜晚寒冷，便又添上一件衣裳。
背阴的山谷里，桄榔树显得清瘦；
向阳的山坡上，荜拨草长得肥硕。
常常传来邻近地区有警讯的消息，
路上的行人也因此往来稀少。

Autumn's days have passed their halfway mark,
No leaf now flutters in the woods, not one.
At dawn, the mist compels me to shut the door;
When night turns cold, I add another gown.
In shaded gullies, sago palms grow gaunt;
On sunny slopes, the pepper plants grow stout.
News of alarms from neighboring lands oft comes,
And travelers on the road grow scarce and thin.
