辛苦地眺望着关隘山川，
追忆着曾经在天地间的漫游。
大地阻隔，与南海的联系断绝，
天空低垂，北斗星横斜天际。
从高高的城楼听到远处巡夜的梆子声，
孤枕难眠，挨过寒冷的更次。
形单影只，只堪自我凭吊，
在这异乡，很少有兄弟相伴。

Toilsome, I gaze afar at mountain passes and frontiers,
And muse on journeys through the vastness of the world.
The southern sea is severed by the land's divide,
The sky hangs low where the Dipper lies athwart.
From a high tower, I hear the distant watchman's clapper,
Alone on my pillow, I endure the cold watches of the night.
My solitary shadow is fit only for lamentation,
In this alien land, I have few brothers.
