Five stars gleam with cold light, shooting straight down into the ninefold deep.
Transformed, they sleep as a stone spring, their positions linked in a chain.
Reflecting each other under the jade moon night, above and below vie in pearl-strung splendor.
Starlight, by nature, roams the void; why now are they fixed upon the earth?
Is it not a craze for springs and rocks, like my own old, unrepentant self?
