避开春天，确是怀有真情实感。
开花虽然晚于文雅的杏花，
结出的果实却可媲美瑰丽的橙子。
我这病弱老翁为何如此欢喜？
只为留着苔藓，欣赏飘落的花瓣。

The pomegranate blossoms first gleam in bright display.
In summer's depth, they harbor no intent to vie,
They shun the spring with feelings true, and that is why.
Though later than the apricot in bloom they stay,
Their fruit awaits the orange, splendid in its way.
Why does this ailing elder feel such keen delight?
He stays to watch the fallen petals, moss in sight.
