Creepers grow long,
Swaying in the wind, they climb the steps and scale the lofty hall.
Lush and dense, their leaves guard the verdant green,
Heavy with dew, they drink the abundant moisture.
Below, an orchid of an inch in size,
Withered, smeared by autumn frost.
Having lost its place of reliance,
It falls short of the wild rice or the sedge.
Would it demean itself by clinging to a tall tree?
Holding its fragrance, it stays pure, condensing a secluded scent.
Creepers grow long,
Following fate, they rub against the vast blue sky.
One day, the tall tree falls under the axe,
Its roots dug out, its trunk cut down, bringing you calamity.
