东边那棵松树苍茫耸立，
上面栖息着乌鹊的树枝。
成双成对在西风中鸣叫，
背对着夕阳一同飞回。
双飞又双栖，
长久与苍松为伴相期。
饥饿时在鼎山的高处啄食，
口渴时在闽水岸边饮水。
莫要飞得太远啊，
咫尺之遥也会化作相思。

The eastern pine stands dark and vast,
Where magpie branches hold them fast.
A pair they caw into the west wind's breath,
And turn their backs to the setting sun, flying home in its aftermath.
Together they fly and together they rest,
With the ancient pine their eternal guest.
Hungry, they peck atop the Ding's peak high,
Thirsty, they drink where Min's waters lie.
Do not fly too far, I plead,
For even a short distance plants the seed of longing indeed.
