古人说从军是件乐事，
但获罪后祈祷免难也难如愿。
母亲盼望离散的明珠（女儿）能归来，
丈夫祈求破碎的铜镜（夫妻）能重圆。
押送途中遇到了侠义的义士相助，
公主（比喻妻子）侍奉着春官（指丈夫）。
特此告知河南的这位妇人：
上天的刑罚是不可冒犯的。

Yet to escape conviction, prayers are hard to hold.
The mother longs for her lost pearl to reappear;
The husband seeks his broken mirror, made sincere.
A righteous knight was met by the escorting man;
The princess served the court, as only a wife can.

Heaven's punishment is a law that can't be controlled.
