为何让我生于天地之间？
谋求自身利益，本是人之常情。
鱼虾是我的天性所嗜好，
唯独你却要我长得肥壮。
上天赋予我这样的形体，
伸长脖子正是有所需求。
我的脖颈高耸，可以企及高处，
我的脖颈休息时，可以飞翔。
我的喙很长，可以啄食，
我的目光锐利，可以窥探。
这些都是你所欠缺的，
为何反而责备我的作为？
我也被称为‘雪客’，
玷污我的名声，我自有说辞。
你难道没看见，秦朝灭亡时鹿失其位，众人共逐，
才高足捷者先得到了它。

Why was I born between heaven and earth?
To seek my own good, a private concern.
Fish and shrimp are what my nature craves,
Yet you alone would have me grow fat.
Heaven endowed me with this form,
My long neck is for a purpose.
My neck is high, I can stand tall,

My beak is long, I can peck deep,
My eyes are sharp, I can see far.
These are all your shortcomings,
Why then blame me for what I am?
I am also called the Snow Guest,
