黄莺在高耸入云的树梢啼鸣，满院垂杨投下浓绿树荫。
轻风飘散了杏树枝头的红艳，
更吹皱了池中水波，使之如绉纱般起伏。
珠帘低垂，日色已晚，银屏后的人儿已散，
我在楼上醉卧，横持着一管霜竹箫。
若说整个春天都不曾相思，
那为何红绡衣带宽松，玉肌消减？

Butterflies flit through misty grass,
Orioles sing among cloud-touching trees, the courtyard full of垂杨's shady green.
A light breeze scatters the red atop apricot twigs,
And further wrinkles the pond's waves into crepe.
Beaded curtains at day's end, silver screens with people gone,
Drunk, I lie crosswise upstairs, a frost-bamboo flute in hand.
If you say there was no longing all spring long,
Then why did the red silk fade, the jade-like skin grow thin?
