倚着西风，胡尘弥漫原野，隐忧如刺猬丛生。
就像东门那对贤父子，只怕使双亲荣耀还不够。
待洗尽岷山峨眉的憔悴（苦难）。
便拿起手中长勺之柄，为天下八荒，施行无边恩泽。
却要上表，请求归家侍亲。

Summer breeze light, twin springs rinse jade, five slopes gather green.
The slope's master has no plan to return.
Dreams drift on clear waves, vast and serene.
Once I presented memorials before the twelve pearl strings.
Wished to take the imperial mission, go with my father, while not old, we support each other.
Riding a slow horse, passing through the village lanes.
The imperial edict unreplied, people whisper and wait.
Leaning in the west wind, barbarian dust swells the fields, hidden worries like hedgehogs' spines.
Just like the worthy father-son pair at East Gate, I fear bringing glory to parents is not yet done.
Awaiting to wash away all of Min and E's weariness.
Then take the long ladle in hand, for all directions, create boundless charity.
But instead submit a plea, begging to return and serve.
