我梦见自己登上天界，将人间所有不平之事，
都拿来质问造物主。
就像桂花在秋高露冷时开放，
梅花在岁暮霜浓时绽放。
它们有如此清高的风标，依然保有芬芳的本性，
却长久处在凄凉索寞的境遇中。
那些是什么？不过是纷纷攘攘的桃李之花，
占尽了春风得意。
一时之间列鼎而食，分封领地。
难道猿臂将军（李广）就没有尺寸之功吗？
我想世间的成败，不关乎技艺的工拙，
男儿能否成功，只在于际遇遭逢。
天意说：果然如此，万事皆属偶然，
就像挖井得到铜，奴仆变成老翁。
你且归去吧，只需努力行善事，
不必追问穷困与显达的命运。

I dreamt of climbing heaven, to lay all grievances bare,
And ask the Creator why life's unfair.
Like osmanthus blooming when autumn is high and cold,
Or plum blossoms blooming when years are old and frost bold.
Such pure elegance, such enduring fragrant soul,
Yet destined in desolation to play its role.
What are those? Only the peach and plum, common and rife,
Monopolizing the whole springtime of life.
An era of feasts and fiefdoms grand.
Could it be the猿臂 general lacked merit in the land?
I think the world's success or fail, not on skill depends,
A man's rise or fall, only on chance attends.
Heaven says, indeed, all things occur by chance,
Like digging a well and finding copper, or a slave gaining a lord's advance.
You return now, just strive to do good deeds,
And ask not of poverty or success, where fate leads.
